The government is preparing to invest over NT$100 billion to drive AI adoption across Taiwanese manufacturing, with diagnostic consulting, application subsidies and project loans already in place. Where is your factory stuck? What resources do you need most? And how can you tap into these programs to accelerate AI adoption and give customers confidence in your orders?

This survey helps you work through those questions. Your responses will also be compiled into the Report on AI Adoption in Taiwanese Manufacturing and submitted to the National Development Council as industry feedback for cross-agency resource allocation and policy adjustment.

Step 1: AI enters the factory

Taiwanese manufacturers are still holding back — why that is a rational choice

Nearly half of traditional manufacturers have yet to take the first step toward AI. Waiting is often the better-value choice: funding and know-how are mismatched, advisory capacity is limited, and few solutions on the market fit small and mid-sized plants. TAIWANinside is surveying decision-makers across Taiwanese manufacturing, and this series will publish the findings alongside on-site records from the three forums in August, September and October.
